1. Program introduction
In a psychiatric hospital, if an administrator was looking for a specific patient, it would take a lot of time to check and inspect the ward, or find it elsewhere in the hospital. To view medical information such as patient medical history, you have to search through a pile of papers.
In addition, some patients may get lost when they leave their bed or leave the hospital. Now, the patients under key monitoring have their own smart tags (ie wristbands), each with their name in the patient management system, as well as all medical history, medications taken, and other information through a visual software system , Easy to locate and view at any time. This can effectively help managers save clinical time, monitor and track the location of patients in real time, and limit patients to certain unsafe areas.
China Chuangyi has been researching the positioning of IoT personnel for many years, and has developed an IoT intelligent mental patient positioning solution, which locates patients and provides unique functions such as active patient alarms.
2. System introduction
In response to the needs of mental hospitals, we designed the following systems: fixed readers are placed at the door of each room and the exit of each floor, at the door of each building and at the door of the hospital, to identify the monitor worn by each patient on the floor. The wristband tag enables the patient’s physical location and other information to be grasped through the monitoring computer on the floor (in the monitoring room) or the administrator’s portable PDA. Thereby realizing 24-hour real-time status monitoring of patients and administrators, and ensuring patient safety. Our goal is to reduce the frequency of accidents and improve the management of mental hospitals by improving the care of patients.
A battery-powered RFID wristband tag is placed on the patient, and identification tags are placed at the door of each room and the exit of each floor, as well as the door of each building and the door of the mental hospital, and transfer positioning data to the location software. The physical location of the person can be graphically displayed in the interface of the control software.
The RFID patient positioning system uses RFID active smart electronic tags with a working frequency of 2.4GHz and will not cause interference to other medical equipment. Its size is about 4*7cm, and its thickness is less than 2mm. It can be made into wristbands, badges and other forms. Wear electronic tags to patients who need to be tracked and monitored, and you can grasp their real-time information with one hand. The real-time location, status and other information of the patient can be monitored through the local network, and then read out in the control software. Managers of mental hospitals can learn the real-time location and status information of patients with a simple mouse operation, so that they can quickly find them and implement corresponding medical procedures.
Three, system principle
First, install a number of card readers at the entrance of each room in the building, the exit of each floor and the entrance of the building, and connect them to the computer in the care room on each floor through network wiring. At the same time, wear a wristband tag (electronic tag) for each patient. Each patient’s wristband tag is matched with the card reader in the room where he is located. When a patient wearing an electronic wristband enters the building, as long as they pass or approach any card reader placed in the hospital, the card reader will immediately sense the signal and upload it to the computer in the corresponding intensive care unit immediately, and the computer can immediately determine Provide specific information (such as: who, where, specific time, physical condition, etc.), and determine whether the patient has gone to the wrong room, and display it on the computer screen of the intensive care unit and make a backup. The administrator can also click on a certain location in the hospital according to the distribution diagram on the large screen or on the computer, and the computer will then count and display the personnel in this area. If the patient leaves the room within the specified time, the intensive care unit sends a signal and displays the specific situation of the personnel, whereabouts and the estimated time of return.
Similarly, if the patient is not in the room or in the wrong room within the specified time, the monitoring room will issue an alarm to remind the administrator to perform the corresponding management operations.
There is a small button on the wristband. If the patient is in an emergency, he can press the button to notify the management staff that he has an emergency and needs help. When a patient presses the button, the nearby card reader can recognize it and send a signal to the control center to inform the control center of the specific location of the patient.
The computer in the monitoring room will sort out the various activity tables of each patient in this period according to the patient’s movement information for a period of time. In addition, once an accident occurs in the psychiatric hospital, the personnel at the accident site can be found immediately based on the personnel distribution information in the computer, and then special detectors can be used to further determine the location of the personnel at the accident site to help managers solve it in an accurate and rapid manner accident.
If the accident cannot be resolved in the monitoring room, the management personnel of the monitoring room can directly notify the personnel of the general monitoring center to request support. According to the information of the wristband, locate the specific geographic location, the large screen of the main monitoring center can be connected to the video surveillance, locate a specific monitoring screen, monitor the situation, and take the corresponding next step according to the situation in time. The monitoring interface of the general monitoring room on the first floor:
It is composed of computer and software system. So as to realize the supervision of the patient, and then cooperate with the relevant front-end information extraction equipment and the alarm to realize the alarm function.
Fourth, the main hardware products
(1) Electronic label
Electronic tags refer to modular tags composed of IC chips and wireless communication antennas. The identification information of the object to be identified in the agreed format is stored in the label, that is, electronic data (such as name, age, blood type, name of relatives, emergency contact number, past medical history and other information management). The patient wears an electronic tag, and the monitoring personnel monitor the patient through the reader and the computer in the monitoring room.
(2) Reader
The reader reads the information of each electronic tag in order to determine its location and provide support for getting the patient’s condition in time. At the same time, different permissions can be assigned to personnel through electronic tags to facilitate the management of guardians on different floors and prevent unauthorized personnel from entering. Since there are corresponding fixed reader devices at the door of each room, the exit of each floor, and the door of the mental hospital, the reader interacts with the background database data, connects with the antenna, and searches the target area for all kinds of actively sent tags. The data is transmitted to the computer in the monitoring room and displayed. The CY-RFS-200 reader/writer has stable performance, reliable work, strong signal transmission capability, and a service life of up to 30 years. Its leading technology, all-industrial design and outstanding cost performance make it excellent in the field of RFID. Competitive advantages. The composition of the card reader mainly includes: a wireless receiving unit, a data processing module, a DC stabilized power supply, and an antenna. Its main functional advantage is lightning protection and impact protection, meeting the requirements of industrial environments.

Five, concluding remarks
The intelligent mental patient positioning system of the Internet of Things provides convenience for the managers of the mental hospital to manage the mental hospital. The patient leaves the room in an emergency situation, and it is no longer unattended or unable to find a specific location. The application of the wristband and the reader can locate the patient in the area. Once an emergency occurs, the specific location can be quickly located. The monitoring personnel do not have to go to the accident site to understand the situation. From the screen of the control center You can learn about the situation at the accident site and provide convenience to rescuers.
