RFID smart file cabinet solution

1. Design requirements:
The basic unit of the file cabinet is the double-body four-compartment iron cabinet shown on the left. Except for the partition inside the box, the rest are made of metal iron. The files or folders that need to be monitored are affixed with UHF RFID electronic tags, and the tags comply with the ISO18000-6C (EPC C1G2) protocol.
The overall design goal of the smart file cabinet is to use the RFID electronic tags attached to the files to realize real-time control of the files.
2. System overview
Four RFID antennas are installed in each iron cabinet, and the four RFID antennas are controlled by a smart antenna splitter sub-board. The splitter sub-boards in each iron cabinet can be cascaded with each other for unified control. All daughter boards are controlled by a smart antenna splitter main board.
A splitter main board can connect up to 8 sub-board cascade links, each sub-board link can have 8 sub-board cascades, and each sub-board can be connected to 4 antennas.
In theory, an antenna group controlled by a motherboard can have up to 256 antennas.
3. Program features
The smart file cabinet file cabinet constructed by the smart antenna splitter can be independent and unified management, and can be assembled and combined freely. The specific characteristics are as follows:
1. The antenna splitter sub-board in the cabinet is small in size, no additional power supply, no additional control wire, all control and power supply are loaded on the radio frequency cable, which greatly reduces the number of wiring between the cabinets. While reducing costs, it also improves the reliability of the overall system.
2. The splitter motherboard supports the plug-and-play of the splitter daughter boards. The motherboard can scan to know how many daughter boards are installed in the system, how many antennas are installed on each daughter board, and the specific ports installed. The increase and decrease of the cabinet does not affect the overall operation of the system. The operation of adding or subtracting the cabinet body is simplified to 2 simple plug-in operations of the radio frequency line.
3. Through the use of smart antenna splitter, the amount of readers in the entire system is greatly reduced, which reduces the overall cost on the one hand, and improves the reliability of the system on the other hand. Compared with the reader, the antenna part can be almost maintenance-free.
