The RFID access control management system has become a major part of the security system, and it is currently widely used in various places. Tianjin Bee has been committed to the application research of RFID technology for a long time, and has accumulated a lot of experience. This article tries to provide some suggestions for enterprises from the aspects of system design, equipment selection and enterprise management, hoping to provide some references when enterprises carry out the design and installation of RFID access control management system.

RFID access control management system

The RFID access control management system is composed of an access control machine (integrated reader and controller), identification card, computer, and electromagnetic lock. Generally, there are two forms of access control systems. One is that employees only need to wear a card (RFIDElectronic tag) aim at the infrared rays of the access control machine, and the door will open automatically. The other is the RFID UHF long-distance access control management system. By installing UHF readers and UHF electronic tags worn by employees, you can open and close the door and read the ID card during the entire passage. It is fully intelligent and automatic, no need for workers to operate, saving time. It should be noted that the cost of the second RFID access control management system is higher, and the choice of these two forms depends on the specific needs of the enterprise.

Types of access card

In the system, according to the different permissions, we can roughly divide the access card into 3 categories, they are time card, work group card, privilege card.

As the name implies, the time slot card can be set every day of the week, which is convenient for users to manage the people who enter and exit during the time slot.

The working group card will be set to provide working day setting and non-working day setting, mainly for enterprise staff to carry out work day and non-working entry and exit management.

Privilege cards are not restricted by time and level, and can be entered and exited at any time, suitable for senior management and system maintenance personnel.

The choice of access control electric lock

The access control electric lock is an important part of the RFID access control management system, and it is a direct execution device for personnel to manage. The choice of the electric lock affects the overall stability of the access control system. If the importance of electric locks is ignored, it may also lead to the failure of the project.

At present, the more mature access control electric locks on the market are divided into three categories: magnetic locks, cathode locks, and electric bolt locks.

Electric mortise locks are more used in glass doors. According to the frame or frameless glass doors, they need to be used with installation accessories such as door clips. When the access control system fails or other special circumstances, the power can be disconnected to open the door, and it can meet the fire protection of opening the door when the power is cut off. Require. Some electric bolt locks have delay control and door sensor detection functions. The delay control function supports a certain time delay after the door is closed and then locks. For the glass door whose floor spring performance is not good and the door lock is not easy to lock, it can be adjusted The delay lock time of the electric mortise lock has been improved.

Cathode locks are generally used for single-leaf wooden doors. They are installed on the door side and used in conjunction with ball locks, handle locks and other mechanical locks. The door can be opened by swiping a card or using a mechanical lock key. It is generally used for room doors with low security requirements. .

Magnetic locks are more commonly used in fire doors and wooden doors that are not prone to performance degradation after long-term use. However, magnetic locks are not as safe as electric mortise locks and cannot guarantee the locked state when subjected to a large external force. Magnetic locks with a holding force between 2000N and 4000N are more common, and are also suitable for most places. Some brands have magnetic locks with a high holding force above 5000N, which are suitable for higher access control security requirements, but are not suitable for installing other types of electric locks. The place of the lock is optional.

Issues that need attention in the hardware design of RFID access control management system

1 Frequency matching problem

There are two LC circuits in the RFID access control management system, namely the LC circuit composed of the reader coil and the connecting capacitor, and the LC circuit composed of the electronic tag coil and the link capacitor. In a single-coil system, two LC circuits are required to be tuned at the same resonant frequency. If the resonant frequencies of the reader and the electronic tag do not match, zero modulation will occur, thereby reducing the performance of the system.

2 Optimize the coupling factor

The coupling factor is the coupling between the electromagnetic field of the reader and the coil of the electronic tag. The coupling depends on the structural parameters of the system, such as coil diameter, distance and coil direction. Optimizing the coupling silver is beneficial to the energy transmission channel and the signal transmission channel.
