1. System Overview

With the advent of the global knowledge economy, the circulation of books has gradually increased, and the book logistics and warehousing industry has become increasingly developed. The requirements for book circulation and book storage have become higher and higher. The current warehousing and logistics management adopts bar code technology and manual identification methods. It has been unable to meet the requirements of modern management. It is mainly manifested in: unable to store more information, unable to monitor the running track of books in a timely manner, reading distance is short, demanding on the environment, and inventory counting is more complicated and time-consuming. Therefore, modern logistics and warehousing management are facing increasing challenges. How to reduce inventory investment, strengthen inventory control, reduce warehousing and distribution costs, and shorten order processing and replenishment time has become a common concern of all enterprises. Therefore, our company has proposed this set of intelligent warehousing and distribution system solutions based on RFID radio frequency identification technology to make up for the lack of barcode technology.

The warehousing logistics management solution is to introduce RFID technology into the warehouse management to automatically collect data from each operation link of the warehouse, such as arrival inspection, warehousing, outbound, and inventory counting, to ensure the data input of each operation link of the warehouse management High efficiency and accuracy, to ensure that companies accurately grasp the real data of inventory in a timely and accurate manner, and reasonably maintain and control corporate inventory. Its characteristics are as follows:

1) Remote identification of items, electronic tags can be written repeatedly;

2) The electronic label is dustproof, shockproof, high temperature resistant, and designed according to standards;

3) Provide powerful report analysis functions: the completion of production plans, the warehousing and storage conditions, the warehouse space allocation, and the inventory status;

4) Real-time information interaction, maximize the efficiency of the system, increase productivity, and improve work processes.

2. Principles of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Technology

RFID technology is a non-contact automatic identification technology. Its basic principle is to use radio frequency signals and their spatial coupling and transmission characteristics to realize automatic machine identification of stationary or moving objects to be identified. The radio frequency identification system generally consists of two parts, namely the electronic tag and the reader. In the application, the electronic tag is attached to the item to be identified. When the item to be identified with the electronic tag passes through the reading range, the reader automatically reads the agreed identification information in the electronic tag from a long distance in a contactless manner (reader It can read the data of 50 or more tags at the same time), so as to realize the function of automatically identifying items or automatically collecting item identification information.

RFID technology is applied to the automatic identification management of the warehousing, storage, inventory and delivery of bulk books in the warehouse distribution center. The barcode installed on the book and the electronic label on the pallet turnover box (the two are data related to form a one-to-many relationship) , It is composed of fixed radio frequency identification reading and writing equipment and background management system installed in the storage center. When the tagged target passes through the set signal collection point, the tag immediately emits a radio frequency signal with representative identity characteristics, which is received by the reader device and sent to the background management system to achieve information collection, regular inventory, and Inbound storage, sorting out of warehouse, etc.

3. System composition

This system is composed of card issuing programmer, reader, electronic label (for pallet), and warehouse management software.

Card issuing programmer: write tray information into electronic label, establish the association between tray label and large package barcode;

Reader: The reader senses the tag through the antenna and reads the data information in the tag; it is divided into a fixed reader and a handheld reader, which is used to accurately read the information of the electronic tag on the tray in real time, and when needed Write data to the electronic tag at the time.

1) Fixed type: This system uses UHF 915MHz reader (the reading distance of the tag can reach eight meters). The reader system installed at a fixed location at the entrance and exit of the warehouse is mainly responsible for collecting the information of the items passing here and sending the information to the central monitoring and management system. Specifically: read the electronic tags on the tray one by one, and send the collected information to the background;

2) Handheld: The reading distance of the handheld reader is about 1 meter. Read the electronic label information on the pallet remotely during inventory and cargo search, equipped with a PDA, the information can be stored in the PDA or connected to the data line to be transmitted to the warehouse management subsystem in real time;

Electronic label: the carrier of book information (including book name, book category, publisher, publication date, etc.);

Warehouse management software: timely processing of the information read by the front-end reader, such as record processing of goods entering and leaving the warehouse, query, inventory counting, report printing, and make query, statistics, data analysis and other operations;

4.work process

4.1 Warehousing: Before warehousing, the card issuer is used to write the book information of the entire tray. The written information includes a series of attributes such as book name, category, quantity, publisher, publication date, etc. After writing, install the electronic label On the pallet; when warehousing, use a handheld reader to read the electronic label on the pallet, and after the reader reads the information, it will transmit the information to the background management system to automatically generate a warehousing list to realize the automatic warehousing of books. The specific process is: when warehousing, collect the barcode on the big bag, and transfer the barcode data on the same pallet to the data center; scan the electronic label on the pallet to establish a one-to-many association between the electronic label and several barcodes. When warehousing, register at the warehousing reception desk. After analysis and judgment, the data center analyzes the location of the item and displays the location number on the large display screen in front of the entrance, scans the electronic tag, and writes the location information into the electronic Tags, realize the correspondence between the space location and the electronic tag, and the staff will store the items in the warehouse according to the location information.

4.2 Inventory: UHF 915MHZ handheld reader is used for warehouse inventory, and the reading distance is 1-2 meters, so as long as the staff uses the handheld reader within 2 meters of the pallet label, the handheld reader will automatically read and collect this The pallet information is stored in the PDA, or connected to the system through the PDA data line, and transmitted to the background management system to achieve accurate and efficient inventory counting.

4.3 Outgoing: Check out the placement location of the items to be out of the warehouse through the background management system, take out the items, when the items are out of the warehouse, use a handheld reader to read the electronic tag information on the pallet, and the reader will communicate with the tag on the pallet. The associated barcode information is sent to the warehouse management system for outbound record backup and data update, which saves labor expenditures for scanning barcodes on a package-by-package basis. The specific process is: When leaving the library, the staff takes the invoice to the data center, and finds the storage location of the books to be shipped out through the data center. Scan the electronic label on the pallet, and the whole package of barcode information associated with the electronic label is passed into the system to form an outbound list; after the data processing center receives the data, it updates the data.

4.4 Report generation module: automatic generation function of month-end, quarter-end and year-end sales reports, purchase reports, and inventory reports, and users can customize the reports that need statistics.

4.5 Inquiry function: Inquiry of incoming order, outgoing order, single product inquiry, inventory inquiry, etc. (user-defined). Queries are based on certain conditions: tag serial number, delivery date, delivery customer, delivery goods name, location UID number, etc.

5.System advantages

1) Convenient and quick when entering and exiting the warehouse, and wireless transmission when taking inventory;

2) The repeated use of electronic tags reduces the cost of investment;

3) Increase the throughput of the warehousing distribution center and increase sales;

4) Keep abreast of warehouse inventory data;

5) Detailed collection and query of item information;

6) Improve the quality of inventory operations and shorten the operation process;

7) Save labor costs and reduce operating costs;

8) Reduce cargo loss;

In short, the simultaneous use of fixed readers and hand-held readers makes warehouse site data collection, inventory, warehouse management, warehouse location inspection and other on-site operations clear, accurate, systematic and scientific.

6.Implementation Effect

This solution combines advanced RFID technology, the application of long-distance readers, card issuing programmers, handheld readers and electronic tags in the system greatly improves production efficiency, makes management more scientific, timely and effective, and ensures the supply chain High-quality data exchange, realize the “integration” and “digital” management of products from production, warehousing to logistics, and realize the “digital warehousing management” of commercial companies: warehousing location management, fast real-time inventory, etc., which can be used for industry production and operation Provide a basis for decision-making and contribute to the construction of modern logistics warehousing.
