In this paper, using radio frequency identification (Radio FrequencyIdenTIficaTIon, RFID) technology, combined with the read-write device installed on the road, and the radio frequency tag installed on the vehicle, an automatic control system for LED street lights is designed to realize the intelligent switch of LED street lights, which can save Energy can effectively reduce the workload of staff in managing the street light system.
1 The structure of the intelligent control system of LED street lights based on RFID
The street lamp control system is composed of two parts: a monitoring center server and an RFID intelligent terminal. The encrypted data and instructions are transmitted through a wireless network between the two. The basic structure of the system is shown in Figure 1. The monitoring center server is composed of three parts: configuration management server, monitoring center database and wireless communication subsystem. The RFID smart terminal is composed of three modules: RFID reader, smart control, and wireless communication. The distance between each RFID smart terminal is determined according to the road speed limit.
2 Main functions of RFID-based intelligent control system for LED street lights
Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the installation of an RFID-based intelligent control system for LED street lights. Among them, on-board RFID tags are installed on cars, RFID smart terminals are installed on the side of the road, and the monitoring center server is installed in the central computer room of the traffic management department. Except that the monitoring center server can forcibly turn on the lights under special circumstances, RFID smart terminals can be used to control the turning on and off of street lights in other periods, which can save energy and manpower. In addition, the system also has the functions of combining centralized control and automatic control, real-time data collection, key data protection, mutual authentication between the terminal and the monitoring center server, and vehicle tracking.
(1) Combination of centralized control and automatic control
Through the combination of central control and RFID control, the system provides flexible, convenient and reliable light switch control functions. The monitoring center server automatically performs group control switch lights, and it can also control any intelligent terminal to switch lights around the clock, which can be set at will The power-saving mode of street lights can also be set on and off for various holidays of the year.
(2) Real-time data collection
The intelligent terminal will send the parameters such as the number and type of vehicles with RFID electronic license plates in its range back to the monitoring center through a wireless channel. The monitoring center configuration management server analyzes and processes these data and provides it in the form of intuitive graphs or tables. Provide management personnel with accurate basis for relevant decision-making.
(3) Critical data protection
The smart terminal has a backup battery to ensure that the system can still operate normally after the AC power supply is interrupted. The data of the RFID smart terminal is stored in FLASH to ensure that the data is not lost and that the system communicates with the monitoring center around the clock. The monitoring center is equipped with UPS uninterruptible power supply to ensure the normal operation of the host and the communication with the intelligent terminal.
(4) Mutual authentication between the terminal and the monitoring center
The monitoring center can set its own system command password. The intelligent terminal only receives and executes commands that conform to the password, and commands that do not conform to the password are ignored. This can improve system stability and prevent interference by others.
(5) Vehicle tracking
When a stolen vehicle with an RFID tag passes through an RFID smart terminal, the RFID smart terminal will provide timely feedback on the road section, time and nearby vehicle information the vehicle has passed through according to the list of stolen vehicles updated by the monitoring center.
