I. Overview

Traditional warehouse management is entirely based on manual records. With the widespread application of barcode technology, companies can use automatic barcode identification technology to manage data and information in all logistics links such as inbound, outbound, inventory, transfer, and allocation in their warehousing and delivery products, and use computer networks to collect , Tracking, tracing, back-checking, and analyzing relevant data.

2. Workflow of warehousing barcode management

1. Receipt (inspection) management
When warehousing, the receiver scans the barcode of the goods. This barcode is used as the most basic information in all future inventory management links.

2. Storage (location) management
The porter scans the barcode label of the goods and the corresponding shelf barcode label to check the storage.

3. Inventory (statistics) management
The inventory clerk first downloads the data of the goods to be inventory, and scans the barcodes of the goods on the spot. The system records and establishes inventory data files.

4. Outbound (shipping) management
The shipper scans the barcode of the goods, the system confirms the name and quantity of the goods, and automatically reduces the inventory to complete the shipment.

Third, the benefits of barcode collectors used in inventory management systems

1. The steps of manually writing bills and inputting the computer are removed, which can greatly improve work efficiency.
2. Information statistics are timely to solve the shortcomings of outdated and lagging warehouse information.
3. Avoid inaccurate bill information (such as copying or typing errors), thereby improving storage quality and increasing warehouse utilization.

4. Function design of barcode management system

1. Optimize the bar code management and storage operation process (Figure 1):
2. Optimized barcode management and outbound operation process (Figure 2);

Five. System configuration

1. Barcode label (as shown in Figure 3)
The bar code label is the object collected by the entire system, the bar code number is the only serial number or random code, and the bar code format is arranged according to needs.

2. Barcode printing equipment (Figure 4 below):
If the bar code is temporarily compiled according to the bar code rules, the bar code printer should print the bar code label on site.

3. Portable collection terminal (Figure 5 below):
It can collect and save remote data, and then upload it to the computer, and it can also download task data from the computer.
