With the support of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and Baosteel Group, the demonstration application of RFID technology-based ship plate supply chain from Baosteel Heavy Plate Plant to Jiangnan Shipyard is realized. The structure of the entire system is very complex. Baosteel’s wide plate plant produces rich types of ship plates and specifications. Complete and high output. Most of its ship plates are supplied to the Jiangnan Shipyard’s shipbuilding base. Ship plates transported from Baosteel to the shipyard have to pass through multiple logistics areas such as the thick plate terminal warehouse, the factory finished product warehouse, the factory wharf, the shipyard dock yard and the shipyard’s pre-production warehouse. It involves multiple business units such as Baosteel Heavy Plate Plant, Transportation Department, Logistics Office, Baosteel’s downstream processing and distribution companies, logistics carriers, and shipyards. It is a typical representative in the steel supply chain, so it is of great significance to choose the ship plate supply chain from Baosteel’s thick plate plant to Jiangnan Shipyard as the project’s demonstration project.

From L1 to L5, from the lowest level of measurement automation, to the information collection of the detection platform, to MES, to ERP, to logistics management and control, to Baosteel’s warehouse and manufacturing enterprise front warehouse, this basically involves a complete supply chain system. The project will be completed by the end of this year. The information open loop has been achieved and breakthroughs in key technologies have been achieved. The next step will start on-site installation and testing, and finally achieve application demonstration effects. Through the layer-by-layer advancement of this project, the overall framework of the system gradually appears to coincide with the concept of the Internet of Things. In the future, Baosight’s research and development of the Internet of Things will consider referring to the structure of this system.

7 major innovations highlighted in the industrial environment

The biggest feature of this project is the actual industrial environment, so this project has 7 major innovation directions.

The first is to study RFID UHF reading and writing equipment and antennas suitable for the steel industry environment; the second is to develop narrow strip-shaped electronic tags suitable for metal sheets; the third is to develop automatic electronic tag sticking technology and equipment suitable for ship board identification; fourth Establish shipboard product warehousing and stacking models and segmented distribution models based on RFID technology; fifth is to develop shipboard supply chain logistics full-process dynamic tracking technology and information sharing technology; sixth is to develop corresponding middleware software products to realize RFID systems and ships The internal logistics management system (MES) of the board production and the external logistics supply chain system of the ship board are organically connected; the seventh is to establish the RFID electronic coding standard of the ship board supply chain system.

Take electronic tags as an example. Aiming at the dirt and oil stains on the surface of the ship’s board, conduct a research on the selection and mixing of different pasting materials for metal tags and low-cost tags, so that the tags can be quickly and firmly pasted on the side of the ship’s board; and Research on the adhesive performance of magnetic materials. According to the metallurgical shipboard production line, shipboard specifications and surface morphology, and the actual situation of storage and transportation, study the automatic attachment of shipboard electronic labels to ensure that the electronic labels are convenient for packaging, suitable for automatic feeding, grabbing, and mounting on narrow sections , To ensure that the label does not fall off during subsequent operations in the warehouse, in and out of the warehouse, and during transportation. In addition, in order to connect with the production line, we have also developed automatic electronic label sticking equipment, which is installed in the printing and marking station of Baosteel’s wide and heavy plate product line to perform automatic RFID electronic label sticking operations, and is responsible for automatic unpacking, disassembly and assembly of electronic labels. ;Automatic label picking, automatic cutting, folding and degumming; receiving the shipboard logistics data provided by the system and writing the corresponding electronic label; label delivery, automatic positioning and pasting of electronic labels according to plate thickness and other specifications; label data verification and reading Etc., to ensure the identification and information reading of the ship board in the follow-up logistics process.

This application reflects that the Internet of Things achieves better effective sharing of data and information on the basis of informatization and automation, allowing enterprises to become intelligent. During the research process, Baosight Software developed corresponding middleware software products to realize the open-loop integration of the RFID system, the shipboard production internal logistics management system (MES), and the shipboard external logistics supply chain system, realizing information closed-loop to information open-loop Of the leap.
