1. Introduction to the system

The XC type automatic identification system is a product developed by Inview Valley for the “ATIS” (Automatic Identification System of Railway Numbers) project of the Ministry of Railways. It can collect real-time and accurate data on the operating status of locomotives and vehicles, such as the number of locomotives, Car number, status, location, whereabouts and arrival time and other information, real-time tracking of rolling stock.

The automatic vehicle number recognition system can automatically provide consistent basic data information for the internal transportation scheduling management and department management of the locomotive turnaround section. Therefore, in combination with the specific management requirements of the locomotive turnback section, various application functions can be developed on the basis of the automatic identification system of the vehicle number, and scientific data statistics, data query and data analysis can be carried out, so that the application effect of the system can be fully obtained. The use of this will make the transportation activities of the turn-back section gradually move towards coordination and unification, reduce various auxiliary time related to the transportation of the turn-back section, thereby improve the management efficiency of the locomotive turn-back section, and save production and transportation costs.

2. System composition

The XC vehicle number automatic identification system adopts microwave radio frequency technology, computer technology and network technology, and can process the collected vehicle number data and transmit it to the transportation management information center through the computer network. It is mainly composed of five parts: electronic tag, readout device (AEI host), programmer, station control and train number processing system (CPS) (the maintenance application is the maintenance re-display system) and the train inspection re-display system. The daily report reflects the detailed status of the locomotives entering and leaving the warehouse every day. The report content includes: train number, vehicle number, assigned section, and actual warehousing time.

◇ Tips for passing cars:

When the locomotive has been set to pass, the system will automatically pop up a prompt dialog box, prompting the personnel about the information that the locomotive of a certain train number or train number has passed the gate.

◇ Statistics:

Make statistics on locomotives entering and leaving the warehouse;

Perform statistics on the operation of AEI equipment, and print out the statistical results.

4. System implementation benefits

The XC type automatic train number identification system has been successfully applied to the Chinese railway train number identification system, and its products have been distributed to 18 railway bureaus (groups) and 70,000 kilometers of railway lines across the country.
